Sports Betting Potentially To Begin Dec. 1 At Rivers Casino

Pending final PA Gaming Control Board approval

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Rivers Casino was one of three in Pennsylvania to be approved for sports wagering certificates Wednesday.

Pending final PGCB approval, the Casino would begin sports betting December 1.

Development on a sports betting space has been underway and with Wednesday’s approval construction on the site is moving forward and the casino plans to be ready to live, pending PGCB approval.

Rivers Casino spokesman Jack Horner told brother station KDKA Radio in a statement, “Rivers Casino is looking forward to introducing Pittsburgh’s first licensed sportsbook, having received PGCB approval on Oct. 31. Development of our temporary sportsbook, located adjacent to High Limits, is already underway and expected to launch by yearend.  Our proposed permanent sportsbook will replace Levels lounge and is expected to launch in spring 2019. The approvals today bring the totally number of casino’s with incoming sportsbooks to six.
