Forward Sam Lafferty Relegated To Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins

PITTSBURGH ( 93.7 The Fan) - Forward Sam Lafferty has been relegated to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned Sam Lafferty to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins after his being with the team the past three weeks.

The move was announced on Thursday afternoon by Pens general manager Jim Rutherford.

Lafferty made his official NHL debut on October 8 after he was moved up the day before. He played in 10 games and scored 3 times and notched 3 assists in that span.

Lafferty kick-started his hockey career with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2014 after being selected in the fourth round of the NHL Draft.

He has tallied 49 points in 70 overall games throughout his career. The Pittsburgh Penguins’ next game is Saturday in their first matinee game of the season against the Edmonton Oilers. The puck drops at 1:00 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena.
