Crosby Out For Game Against Lightning But Injury Is Not A Concussion

Sullivan says Sid is day-to-day with an upper body injury

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Coach Sullivan has confirmed that Sidney Crosby will be out for Thursday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning with an upper body injury, the good news is Sullivan confirmed it is not a concussion.

Sullivan said Crosby’s status is “day to day, but my sense it’s going to be a week.”

Crosby took the ice for a morning skate before the team went out.

Sullivan also confirmed at practice that Matt Murray will get the start and that he remains the team’s #1 goalie. “We have the ultimate faith and trust in Matt.”
