What current player in the NHL would make the best general manager when they retire? According to the NHL Players Association, it’s Sidney Crosby.

The NHLPA polled over 500 players and a majority of them believe Crosby would be able to translate his talent on ice into finding new talent once he hangs up his skates.

Crosby finished with 5.5 percent of the vote with Dallas Stars center Jason Spezza finishing second.

Crosby also ranked second in the categories “which player would you select to start a franchise with?” and “who is the most difficult player to play against?” Oilers Connor McDavid finished first in both categories.
