PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - When will Le'Veon Bell report to work at the Steelers facility...that is the question of the day and we got an update from Post-Gazette Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette when he joined the Cook and Joe Show on Wednesday.

"He is not going to play now," Bouchette said.. "The next move is on the him."

Bouchette talked to the guys about the Steelers having a two week roster exemption where they wouldn't have to pay him and they could very well decide to do that and he is intrigued to see if they do.

"He has rights...but the Steelers have rights too," Bouchette added. "I thought they should have never franchised him, but when they did they bought into all of this."

Bouchette points out that the Steelers knew what Bell had done last year by not reporting until Monday of week 1 and they knew this could be worse with him knowing he would not be back next season.

So what are the Steelers options?

They could release him, they could trade him, they could not sign him and take back the offer but he doesn't see them doing any of that.

"To me they made the mistake early" Bouchette said. "They should have done a better job of preparing for this."
