PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – Steelers scored in every possession with their first team offense and added a defensive touchdown in a 52-21 beating of the Carolina Panthers.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for five touchdowns, James Conner rushed for one and 65 yards although left to go into concussion protocol.

Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Vince Williams each had big games, each refused to talk following the game.  Head coach Mike Tomlin would not address the situation with Brown following his citation Thursday morning for driving over 100 mph on McKnight Road.

“When we got that pick six, it changed the whole ballgame.  We had them chasing us the whole game.”—Jon Bostic

“It takes over a game, it’s hard to beat a team that has a defensive or special teams touchdown.  Everything was rolling, a snowball effect.”—Terrell Edmunds

“It really comes back to our veterans, it’s guys who have played Thursday Night Football many times.  I was on the sidelines thinking, ‘when was the last time I scored 50 points’.”—Vance McDonald

“I just got wide and was blitzing off the edge and tried to make a play on Cam.  I couldn’t get him down before he threw the ball out, but I am glad we got the pick-six and happy we got it.”—T.J Watt
