PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Steelers running back James Conner remains in concussion protocol following a hit he took from Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly last Thursday during a game at Heinz Field against the Panthers

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said during his weekly press conference Tuesday that doesn’t alarm him since, “part of getting out of out of the protocol is physical labor, we haven’t worked.”

Tomlin adds they’ll find out more on Conner during Wednesday’s practice.

“He’ll be given an opportunity to work tomorrow and I think it’ll lay all those discussions to bed.”

Other Steelers injuries include Stephon Tuitt with an elbow injury that Tomlin says could affect his participation early in the week and Marcus Gilbert who has missed the past game with a knee injury.
