Johnson and Snell Get Four Year Contracts

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – After signing a pair of sixth round draft picks Monday, the Steelers signed two more on Tuesday morning.

Third round selection, Toledo receiver Diontae Johnson and fourth round pick, running back Benny Snell from Kentucky each agreed to four year contracts.

At 5’10”, 183, Johnson was the MAC Special Teams Player of the Year and first-team all-conference.  Johnson caught 137 passes for 2,276 yards and 24 touchdowns and averaged 23.4 yards a kickoff return in his college career.

Snell started 27 games at Kentucky and broke or tied 14 school records.  At 5’11”, 223 pounds, Snell rushed for 3,873 yards and was second-team All-American and first-team All-SEC.

Steelers still have five picks who are still unsigned, including first rounder Devin Bush.
