SOUTH SIDE (93.7 the Fan) - The Vance McDonald stiff arm continues to be viewed on various platforms, Wednesday morning it was on the big screen during Steelers team meetings.

“We just watched it,” Ben Roethlisberger said.  “Coach brought it up today, it’s the only play he brought up from last game because it’s a short week and we have to move on.  I think Vance gets a little humbled slash embarrassed a little bit.  What a special play.”

“I was shocked,” said tackle David DeCastro.  “I was like ‘did that really just happen’?  It was like five feet in front of me and I was like ‘did anyone else see that’?  I don’t get shocked by much anymore, but that was impressive.”

“That was crazy and I was actually right there on the field when it happened,” receiver James Washington said.  “That dude is strong and he got a little speed to take it to the end zone.  The dude is a brut.”

It was the series following Tampa Bay taking a touchdown lead and the play after Roethlisberger and James Conner ran into each other losing five yards.  Then McDonald went 75 yards to get the team within a point and led to scores in the next two drives as the Steelers scored all 30 points in the first half.

“It definitely had a spark, that’s for sure,” DeCastro said.  “I think it ignited the whole team to be honest, seeing a play like that.  Especially a guy like that, Vance, dealing with injury and to have a game like that, it bodes well for us.”
