LONG POND, PA (93.7 The Fan) -- Team Penske's Will Power won Sunday's rain-shortened NTT IndyCar Series ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway.

The race was called after 128-of-200-laps because of severe weather that included lightning and heavy rain.

"When my spotter said, ‘the rain’s coming’, I just turned the fuel up and went as hard as I could,” said Power, who picked up his third win at the track.

Power passed PNC Bank Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon on lap 115 and pulled out to a 6.1-second lead before the caution flew because of the weather.

Dixon finished second in the No. 9 Honda, his third second place finish in the last four races.  The other race was his win at Mid-Ohio in late July.

"The car was pretty quick," said Dixon.  "Congrats to Team Penske.  We'll keep our heads down and see what we can come up with these last three races."

Penske's Simon Pagenaud finished third to round out the podium.

Points leader Josef Newgarden finished fifth and now has a 35-point lead over Alexander Rossi.

Rossi was involved in a first lap crash when Rahal Letterman Lanigan's Takuma Sato made contact with Rossi heading into turn two.  Rossi collect his teammate Ryan Hunter-Reay and all three cars collected the cars of Arrow Schmidt Petersen Motorsports James Hinchcliffe and Dixon's teammate, Felix Rosenqvist.

Rosenqvist was sent to the hospital to be checkout and was released late in the afternoon.

The next NTT IndyCar Series race is Saturday night August 24th at Gateway International Raceway.
