WASHINGTON (93.7 The Fan) - The Penguins-Capitals rivalry is one of the most bitter in hockey, but this is bigger than hockey. This is about love being stronger than hate.

The Caps announced Tuesday that half of the 50/50 raffle from Wednesday’s game against the Pens in Washington will be donated to the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.

In a tweet the Caps said “Funds benefit victims and families of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill.”
