SARVER, PA (93.7 The Fan) – The Late Model racing world takes center stage over the next 3-days at Lernerville Speedway as The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series visits The Action Track for the 13thAnnual Firecracker 100 weekend.

Tonight and Friday night will feature time trials, heat races, last chance showdowns and a $6,000-to-win 30-lap main event.

Saturday’s schedule includes heat races and the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win finale and the Uncle Sam 30 will comprise the complete show for the World of Outlaws.

Drivers to watch include Brandon Sheppard, who comes to Lernerville hot off the heels of his win in the $125,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway. Sheppard took home a preliminary win in 2017 at The Action Track.

Shane Clanton is a former Firecracker champion who picked up a preliminary win at Eldora and finished on the podium in the finale.

Keep an eye on Dale McDowell who has been a fixture in the Top five for years but has not made it to victory lane, yet.

Local drivers to watch include Michael Norris, who picked up a preliminary win in 2018.  “The Crusher Kid” will be in owner Todd Cerenzia’s car after grabbing his second win of the season at Lernerville last Friday.

Jared Miley picked up a feature win two weeks ago and finished on the podium in 2015 and current points leader Ken Schaltenbrand has a feature win and a number of podiums in 2019.

In addition to the World of Outlaws, the RUSH Late Models will be there too.  Their schedule includes practice and time trials on Thursday.  Heat races on Friday as well as the “John Buzzard Memorial” Dash to set the front of the starting lineup for Saturday.  Saturday’s $10,000-to-win, 50-lap “Bill Emig Memorial” is the richest crate Late Model event in the Northeast.

Pits open at 4 p.m., Main gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps starting at 6:05 p.m.
